- We keep our prices competitive. If you search around for more local face painters, you'll notice our prices are about on par (or less!) than the other painters of our quality in OC. Undercutting our fellow painters would be selling ourselves short as well as bringing down the value of our art (and the art of others).
- We only offer discounts to charities, nonprofits, and schools. Once again, we know the value of our art. We are often happy to donate or offer discounts to causes that are close to our hearts, or to events with limited funding that will help us reach a wide audience of potential clients. We have to be selective when we accept these types of bookings, because too many and we start losing our private parties.
- We invest a lot into our kits. We use only high quality, hypoallergenic professional cosmetic face paint. It is unfortunately pretty costly. A single 30 gram pan can be $9! Add that up with the 20+ colors we each have in our kits and you can see how it gets expensive. We also invest money in chairs, tables, and gas money driving to and from events. $75 an hour sounds like we should be rolling in dough, but a lot of it goes back into the business.
The bottom line is like everything in life: you get what you pay for. We are not going to chase after you if you decide to go with a cheaper face painter for your event. But often, those painters are less experienced, use cheap face paint (or even worse, paint that isn't meant for use on skin and could cause allergic reactions), and have nowhere near the range of designs we offer. Investing in quality over quantity when it comes to party entertainment is definitely the way to go!
Until next time,
