The event hits close to home to us, and surely all of our clients, as we value and love all of the children we are fortunate to interact with. Our hearts truly go out to the families of the 26 victims, and our thoughts are with the community as they try to pick up the pieces after this senseless tragedy. We hope that instead of inspiring debates and vitriol, instead we come together as a country to support Newtown and begin an open discussion about mental health and our childrens' safety.
PBS has an article about talking and listening to your kids about the news.
Finally, if you are able, please make a donation to these funds:
-CrowdRise page for families and victims of the tragedy
-Newtown Youth & Family Services, a nonprofit mental health clinic, which is offering emergency counseling for families, staff, and community members. Donations benefit those affected.
