Outdoor party? Watch for rain!
Make sure to check the weather forecast for the day of your party a week in advance. If there is a good chance of rain and your party is being held outdoors, have a backup plan ready to go! Arrange for shelters (in the case of only a little rain), such as pop-up tents, or figure out a house or other location at which you can hold the party in the case of heavy rain or cold temperatures. If your house is too small, ask a friend or family member if their house can be the emergency location. Get creative--ask around at some local restaurants if they host parties and can accept your late reservation. Make sure all your guests know the backup location prior to the party date. This advice is especially important for us, because our contract states that we must be provided with shelter from rain or excessive sun at private parties.
Account for latecomers!
Booking face painting, balloons, games, or even a clown? Make sure you arrange for these special activities to happen at least 30 minutes after the start time of your party. This allows all your straggler guests to come late (they always do!), but they won't miss out on the fun.
Let us be creative!
Yes, we face painters do take requests. However, every time we end up painting sports logos on every guest, we get less inclined to be so open! Take a look through our book of examples before you jump to request a logo or cartoon character. Let us show you the talent we've perfected and make a work of art on your skin! It is a lot more fun for us and you'll end up with a result a lot better than one you could get from a 50 cent temporary tattoo.
